No, I'm not talking about the Dana White of Dogfighting. McDrea..er, Tom Brady, did a lot to silence any doubters last night. The only thing that surprised me, was how much Brady and the 1st team played. Brady looked good, completing 10 out of 15 passes for 100 yards, 2 scores and an interception.
Player to watch Review
Lesean McCoy-We like him as a big sleeper pick this year, and last night was a quick, satisfying validation of our beliefs. McCoy is cleary the #2 back in Philly (However, Eldra Buckley's performance bears watching over the rest of preseason) and put up good numbers last night. McCoy had 67 yards of total offense, and impressive 5.5 YPC.
Jamarcus Russell-This was an encouraging start for Russell. However, two names on the Raiders stuck out for me. Chaz Schilens was targeted 4 times by Russell and led Raiders receivers with 4 catches for 52 yards. McFadden looked healthy, and explosive. He busted a 45yard run early, and finished with 4 carries for 63 yards.
Rashard Mendenhall-An uninspiring 2.7 YPC for Mendenhall last night. This is a player who's in danger of losing his role as the primary guy behind Willie Parker. Pittsburgh will give him every chance to prove his worth over preseason, but word is their patience is growing thin.
Russell sucks.
